Where do the Russians spend the new Year's holiday?

The Russians take the 10-day holiday of the year to travel outside the country, and the UAE, Thailand and Turkey are the most popular tourism destinations this year, according to the data of the tourism companies.




In addition to these destinations, many Russian citizens are heading for a new year's holiday in Sochi city resorts, where they practise skiing in the Black Sea mountains of the city.




An analytical study showed that the demand for flights out of Russia increased this year by 7% compared to last year, as indicated that 74 percent of Russian tourists are planning to spend the holiday abroad, as opposed to 26 percent planned to take part in the country.




This explains the Russians ' desire to spend holidays in countries with a new year's warm weather, fleeing the Russian winter.




The New Year's holiday in Russia starts this year on Dec. 30, December 2017 and extends until January 9, January 2018.
